Monday's New York Times crossword puzzle solved: January 4, 2021

My time: 4:27, a minute faster than the average.

Theme: WONDER WOMAN, including her fake name in the world of men (DIANA PRINCE), her publisher DC COMICS, and the two women who played her, LYNDA CARTER and GAL GADOT.

There are also a couple more superhero-themed answers tossed in there, like AQUAman, and CAR clued as "Batmobile, e.g," and AMY Adams clued for her role as Lois Lane.

Totally up my alley, as I am the world's most entrenched comics geek.

For "Arctic diving bird" I put *ERN but it's AUK.  Likewise, for "native Alaskan" I put *INUIT but it's ALEUT.  These assumptions cost precious time!

"Some delivery people" is ROUTEMEN.  Oh, come on.

Of the two SARAS in the clue, Bareilles was in the puzzle just yesterday for her song "She Used to Be Mine," and Evans was briefly listed on September 26, 2019.  The latter is a country singer with eight studio albums.

The word ALIENEE meaning one who receives property was in the blog way back on April 25, 2018.

ISOBARS, lines on maps, was recorded and defined on August 9, 2018.

Clever clue: "Like some reactions and flights during storms" is DELAYED.

This was a nice Monday.  Nothing too fancy, but a good strong theme.  I enjoyed it!
