Monday's New York Times crossword puzzle solved: November 2, 2020

My time: 4:09, a minute and a half faster than average and also a cleaning product.

Theme: four phrases that end in words that mean to make a representation of by hand with pen or pencil. GOLDENDOODLE, LEAVE NO TRACE, and so on.  There is no capper or direction given for this theme.

I hate the spelling HEHE for laughing, cackling, chuckling, etc.

Today in geography: Lake ERIE feeds into Lake Ontario.  That's nice. Ships travel from Port Colborne, Ontario to St. Catharine's, Ontario across the Wellend Canal.

"Retrieves, as baseball" is SHAGS.  Apparently pitchers hate shagging.

Greetings, fellow young people!  Do you also refer to a YouTube video clip as a VID, like I do?  This shows how with-it and hip I am!

Today in useless info: Zip codes in Virginia start with TWO.

Clever clue: "Vehicle that travels in only one direction" is a fun way to go to SLED.

And that wraps it up for this Monday.
